Abstract

The article focuses on the task facing the government, which took office at the end of May 2015 to address problems in the country's public health system. Topics cited include the under-resourced and overstretched health system in Nigeria amidst deaths from communicable diseases the ongoing humanitarian crisis from the Boko Haram insurgency, the country's health expenditure and health disparities created by low ratio of doctors in remote areas.
