How do I become a member of the RESOLVE Network?
How do I become a member of the RESOLVE Network?

To join the RESOLVE Network, click on the "Join RESOLVE" at the top of the page. Complete your profile to become a term member

As a term member, you have access to more resources within the RESOLVE Network. You can also "connect" with other people within the Network by clicking "Connect" on their profile. In order to become a vetted member, select "Request Full Access" on your dashboard. You need to request a recommendation from three of your connections. If at least two out of the three approve your request, then you will be upgraded to a vetted member. As a vetted member, you can follow channels and subchannels. You also have access to the entire Research Library.

What is a subchannel? How are subchannels created?
What is a subchannel? How are subchannels created?

The RESOLVE Network focuses on specific regions, countries, and themes. These are called "channels" and users can explore them further on the specific region, country, and theme channel pages. Because these channels are rather broad, subchannels allow for exploration of content on a more granular level. Subchannels are listed at the bottom of relevant channel pages.

Vetted members, experts, and organizations can "follow" these subchannels, which means they will be notified when additional content is added to them. They can also add a specific resource to subchannels that they are following. To do this, select a resource. There will be an "Add to Subchannel" dropdown on the article or publication page. Clicking on this will show all of the subchannels that you are following. Select the relevant subchannel.

Experts and organizations can create subchannels. They can access the "Create a Subchannel" feature from their dashboard. Subchannels can be public, only access by members, only accessed by vetted members, or invite only. If a subchannel is set to "invite only," the resources added to the subchannel will not be available to the rest of the Network. Only users who have been invited to join will be able to access the subchannel and its resources.

What is the difference between members, experts, and organizations?
What is the difference between members, experts, and organizations?

Members can be term members or vetted members. Term members have more access to resources than users who aren't members. They can also connect with members, experts, and organizations.

Vetted members have access to even more resources and they can also connect with other members, experts, and organizations. They can also follow channels and subchannels and add resources to subchannels that they are following.

Experts can do everything a vetted member can do, but they also have the ability to upload new content and create subchannels.

Organizations are similar experts in that they can also upload new content and create subchannels.

What is the process of becoming an expert within the RESOLVE Network?
What is the process of becoming an expert within the RESOLVE Network?

There are two ways to become an expert within the RESOLVE Network. First, click "Join Resolve" at the top of the page and complete the profile. Become a vetted member after two out of three of your chosen connections approves your recommendation request. Once you become a vetted member, a panel that consists of members of the Research Advisory Group will evaluate your background. If they feel that you should be an expert with the Network, they will upgrade your status within the system. You will be sent an email notification explaining that you are eligible to be an expert with the steps needed to complete that process.

The other way to become an expert within the RESOLVE Network is to be sent an invitation from a member of the RESOLVE Secretariat. If you think you have the qualifications to be an expert within the RESOLVE Network, you can reach out them at [email address].
