Countries of Focus



As part of its summer working paper series, the RESOLVE Network surveyed a constituency of experts as well as members of RESOLVE Network partner organizations and determined that the following countries should be priorities for new and expanded research over the next 5 years. Watch this space for updates and new content as the RESOLVE Secretariat kicks off country work over the course of the next several months.

Nigeria is a country in the North Africa Sahel region that borders Niger, Chad, and Cameroon. With a population of nearly 200 million people, Nigeria is the eighth most populated country in the world. Contemporary challenges facing the country include the spread of terrorism and violent insurgent groups, corruption, and high rates of youth unemployment.
